Angel Carter Opens Up About Her Last Talk With Aaron!
Angel Carter Conrad, the twin sister of late singer Aaron Carter, has spoken candidly about their last conversation just days before his passing in 2022. Her emotional revelations shed light on their strained relationship and the struggles within the Carter family. In a heartfelt interview, she revealed the pain of their final exchange and the unresolved emotions that still linger.
Her words offer a glimpse into the deep-rooted challenges the family faced, both publicly and behind closed doors.
A Troubled Final Call
Angel revealed that her final phone call with Aaron occurred just three days before his death. During the call, she confronted him about alarming behavior she had seen on social media. “I saw him on Instagram Live using substances and passing out. I called him immediately and asked, ‘What are you doing?’” she recalled. Aaron denied it, but the conversation quickly turned tense. “He blamed me,” Angel said. “He said, ‘You’re the reason why I use.’ That made me angry.”
A Difficult Family History
Angel’s heartbreak extends beyond Aaron. She has lost two other siblings—Leslie Carter, who passed away in 2012 at age 25, and Bobbie Jean Carter, who died in 2023 at age 41. Speaking to CBS Mornings, Angel described a childhood marked by instability and dysfunction. “Our parents were always fighting. There were no boundaries, no stability, and no one to talk to,” she shared. “It felt like I couldn’t rely on anyone.”

Fame and Family Tension
Angel believes that the pressures of fame worsened their family’s problems. “There was love, but also chaos,” she said. Both Aaron and his siblings were thrust into the spotlight at a young age, and the attention only added fuel to the already volatile environment at home.
Legal Distance and Emotional Gaps
In 2019, Angel and her brother Nick Carter publicly announced that they had filed for restraining orders against Aaron, citing troubling behavior. Angel explained that the last time she saw her brother in person was in court that year. “It breaks my heart that the last time I saw him was in a courtroom,” she said.

A Conversation That Never Continued
After their legal separation, Angel and Aaron did eventually resume limited contact. “We had two long conversations after the restraining orders,” she said. “We were trying to reconnect.” But the phone call just before his death marked the end. After their argument, she told him, “We’ll talk later.” Sadly, that moment never came.
Moving Forward
Despite the pain, Angel is now speaking out in hopes of shedding light on mental health and the long-term effects of childhood trauma. “We all deserved better,” she said.
