Valkyrae Claims She Was Cut from ‘Minecraft Movie’ After Criticizing Jason Momoa!
The newly released Minecraft Movie has taken the box office by storm, becoming the biggest video game adaptation opening weekend of all time. With big names like Jason Momoa, Jack Black, and Jennifer Coolidge in the cast, the movie has captured the attention of younger audiences. However, a popular video game streamer, Valkyrae, has made headlines after claiming that her brief cameo in the film was cut. The streamer suggests that her criticism of Jason Momoa may have led to the removal of her 30-second appearance.

The Controversial Criticism
Last year, Valkyrae, whose real name is Rachell Hofstetter, appeared on Minecraft JasonThe Ween’s YouTube channel and was asked about her experiences working with celebrities. In her response, she mentioned an uncomfortable interaction with Jason Momoa during the filming of A Minecraft Movie. Valkyrae shared that she witnessed Momoa mistreating the crew, particularly after an intense emotional scene. She described him as being “really mad” and “yelling” at the crew, which she found disappointing.

“I would have to say Jason Momoa,” Valkyrae said when asked about celebrities she didn’t get along with, adding, “It was pretty disappointing to see how he treated some of the crew.” She emphasized that while Momoa may have been in character, it still created an unhealthy work environment.
Valkyrae’s Cameo Removal Is There a Connection?
Following the release of these comments, Valkyrae has suggested that her Minecraft cameo in the movie may have been cut as a result of her criticism of Momoa. On her own stream, Valkyrae seemed to imply that the removal of her 30-second appearance could have been a direct consequence of her comments. She expressed relief that things didn’t escalate further, saying, “I would much rather not have that 30-second [cameo] than be sued.”
Reflecting on Her Experience
Despite her comments about Momoa, Valkyrae still expressed appreciation for the overall experience of working on the film. She shared that her 10 days in New Zealand, although short, were memorable. “It really was a wonderful 10 days in New Zealand for that 30 seconds,” she said. Valkyrae also admitted to enjoying the film, even though her role was minimal. “I thought it was good. I was surprised some people didn’t like it,” she added.
The Price of Public Criticism
While Valkyrae’s comments about Jason Momoa and the subsequent cutting of her cameo have sparked controversy, it highlights the complex dynamics between public personalities, their actions, and the media world they navigate. As the Minecraft Movie continues to perform well at the box office, Valkyrae’s experience serves as a reminder of the potential consequences of speaking out about fellow industry figures.
