Elon Musk’s Daughter Claims She Has No Idea About Her Siblings!

In a recent interview with Teen Vogue, Vivian Wilson, the 20-year-old daughter of tech mogul Elon Musk, shared her thoughts on her famous father and his large family. As one of Musk’s 14 children, Wilson has a unique perspective on her siblings — and, surprisingly, she doesn’t even know how many siblings she has.

A Complex Family Dynamic

Wilson’s relationship with her siblings is complicated, and it seems she doesn’t always consider all of them as her true brothers and sisters. “Well, I have four of them,” she says, referring to her four siblings from her father’s first marriage to Justine Musk. “I’m tied for oldest. But when we fought, it wasn’t really with words. There was a lot of…” she trails off, leaving the complexities of their relationships up for interpretation.

When asked if she’s on good terms with her siblings, Wilson offers a candid response: “That’s a question.” She reveals that she doesn’t even know how many half-siblings she has. “I will say I do not actually know how many siblings I have, if you include half-siblings,” she admits. “That’s just a fun fact. It’s really good for two truths and a lie.”

Learning About New Siblings

Wilson shares that she learned about some of her father’s new children in the same way the public did. She found out about Musk’s three kids with Shivon Zilis only after the news broke. “I had no idea before that,” she explains. Her surprise didn’t stop there. She also discovered that Grimes, the musician Musk once dated, had a second child with him — not through family communication, but through a Reddit post by a drag queen.

“I wasn’t in communication with anyone in the family, which still holds true,” she adds. This further highlights how distant she feels from certain members of her father’s extended family.

Estranged from the Musk Family

Wilson doesn’t mince words when discussing her detachment from her father’s side of the family. She states that she doesn’t keep up with them simply because she doesn’t want to. “I don’t really give a f— what they do. This is not my problem, okay?” she says bluntly. Her frustration with the family is clear, and she mentions that her mother, Justine Musk, who is divorced from Elon, shares a similar attitude.

“She’s divorced, werk,” Wilson adds, giving a hint of humor in her otherwise serious tone. “So yeah.” Wilson’s comments suggest that her family dynamics, both with her father and her siblings, are far from traditional.

A History of Tragedy and Growth

Elon Musk’s fatherhood journey began in 2002, when he and his first wife, Justine, had their son Nevada Alexander, who tragically passed away at just 10 weeks old. The couple went on to have five more children: twins Vivian and Griffin, 20, and triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian, 19. However, as Musk’s family continued to grow, so did the complexity of his relationships and those of his children.

Musk’s relationship with Grimes began in 2018, and the pair welcomed their first child, X Æ A-12, in 2020. They went on to have two more children together: Exa Dark Sideræl and Techno Mechanicus. Meanwhile, Musk had twins with Shivon Zilis, Strider and Azure, in 2021. Just months before the arrival of their second child, Musk and Zilis secretly welcomed another daughter, Arcadia, in early 2024.

Most recently, in 2025, reports revealed that Musk and Zilis had a fourth child together, Seldon Lycurgus, though the details of the baby’s arrival remain unclear.

Vivian’s Perspective

Vivian Wilson’s blunt, no-nonsense attitude toward her father’s sprawling family paints a picture of a young woman who is disconnected from the media frenzy surrounding Elon Musk and his numerous children. While many of her siblings have become public figures in their own right, Wilson remains a private person, unwilling to participate in the family drama or keep up with the latest developments in the Musk clan.

It’s clear that while Vivian has a complicated relationship with her father’s family, she is focused on her own life and choices. For her, it’s about finding her own path, separate from the chaos and attention that come with being part of one of the world’s wealthiest families.
